Miami-Opa-locka Executive Airport (OPF) is a general aviation airport in northern Miami-Dade County, run by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department. It is one of the busiest private aviation airports in South Florida, used by business jets, charters and flight schools rather than scheduled airlines.
For travelers, its location is the draw. OPF is closer to Bal Harbour, Surfside, Sunny Isles Beach and Aventura than Miami International, and the FBOs along NW 42nd Avenue make arrival quick and private.
